Hello there!Stopping by mid-week to share a super easy tea-time cake recipe.

I'm calling it my espresso chocolate teacake.Because that's what it is.A coffee flavored chocolate cake that isn't too rich and hence perfect as a snack with tea of coffee.It takes 10 minutes to mix and another 30 to bake.In under an hour,you'll be munching away some homemade goodness of coffee and chocolate!Here's how to make this teacake –

Ingredients
  • ⅓ cup Powdered Sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 杯黄油,soft at room temperature
  • ¼ cup plain Yogurt or Curd or Sour Cream
  • 1 teaspoon Espresso Powder or 1 Tablespoon prepared Coffee
  • a pinch of Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1杯和1/4杯通用面粉

  • a splash of Milk or Water (if required)
Instructions
  1. 预热烤箱至160摄氏度(320华氏度)。如果使用对流烤箱,预热至140 C或150 C(300 F)。
  2. Grease and line a cake tin.
  3. Cream together butter and sugar for 1-2 minutes till you have a smooth and creamy mixture.
  4. Add some yogurt and espresso powder or prepared coffee and mix well.
  5. 筛入面粉,cocoa powder,salt,baking soda and baking powder.Mix well to form a smooth and lump-free batter.如果击球手太粗,add some milk or water and mix well to form an easy batter.不要过度混合,否则你最终会变得像面包一样坚硬。
  6. 把面糊倒进准备好的蛋糕罐里。Bake at 160 C for 25-30 minutes or until the cake is well done.To check if it is cooked,insert a toothpick or dry piece of spaghetti in the center of the cake.If it comes out smooth without leaving any wet batter,it is done.
  7. 把蛋糕放凉。Remove it from the tin and slice it into squares.
  8. Enjoy with some coffee or tea or as is!!

Pour the batter into a prepared cake tin. Bake at 160 C (140 or 150 C if you use convection oven) for 25-30 minutes or until the cake is well done.To check if it is cooked,insert a toothpick or dry piece of spaghetti in the center of the cake.If it comes out smooth without leaving any wet batter,it is done.
